A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. For all American citizens, a valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave all foreign countries. Only the U.S. Department of State has the authority to grant, issue or verify United States passports. The U.S. State Department has a great website that provides information and services to American citizens about how to obtain, replace or change a passport. On this web page you can find information on how to obtain a passport for the first time, how to renew a passport, the location of over 9,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the United States, general requirements, and much more.Click here to visit the State Department’s website for passport information.
We recommend you schedule your flights into (SJD) San Jose del Cabo Airport. This is the nearest airport and is approximately one hour driving time south of our location.
Voltage is 110v. So feel free to bring your cell phone charger!
Smoking: No way!
We recommend renting a car to go exploring during your stay! If you’d rather enjoy your entire relaxing visit at Casa Laguna, taxis from the airport are also available. If requested, a taxi can be arranged ahead of time for an additional fee.
There certainly is! Free and very secure
To be honest, Casa Laguna doesn’t really have an address! But we will absolutely provide you with driving directions after your booking, and prior to arrival.
Unfortunately yes, people will still be able to reach you (just kidding!) We recommend you check with your cell provider ahead of time regarding international travel plans. But we generally have good reception with Verizon and AT&T. Wifi is also provided on site for internet access.
There is a well stocked grocery store in Los Barriles, a roughly 10 minute drive into town. If you would like your kitchen stocked ahead of your visit, be sure to ask your host! She is more than happy to accommodate requests.
There are many dining choices in the town of Los Barriles. Feel free to ask your host for recommendations. Alternatively, meals are optional during your stay at Casa Laguna. Our host is also a gourmet chef!
Water at Casa Laguna is filtered. Bottled water can be made available at your request, or purchased at the local grocery stores. No worries for showers or brushing your teeth! Local restaurants in town are generally fine, but if you want to be safe you can order sodas, beer, etc.
